About
I'm Claire, after many years spent travelling the world, some time sourcing unique home and garden wares for TV and film props, restaurants and commercial use, it became clear how much was ending up in landfill and had such a negative impact on the planet. The throw away culture that is deeply embedded in every profession, made me sad and want to make a change. So I began the journey of Posh Tat. Still sourcing wonderfully exquisite home and garden wares but now with real purpose.
I strive to provide unusual items that have some history and a story to tell, not the run-of-the-mill wholesale stuff that anyone can find. All our products have either been hand-made by us or lived a life elsewhere and have been salvaged for repurposing in your homes and gardens. If we cannot repurpose we hand make and are the complete supply chain, priding ourselves on supplying durability and high-quality, that stand the test of time. We are plant support specialists, our products will not only blend beautifully with your garden but will add practicality and support to your ever-growing flora and will become part of your garden for years to come.
Fun Facts: I have been featured on BBC's Antique's Road Trip (twice), Find It Fix It Flog It and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. I am mentioned in the guidebook 111 Unusual Places to Visit in Leeds and have been featured in Reclaim Magazine displaying my decorative salvage and garden accessories.
